Day 1 USA
to Milan
Depart from USA
on an overnight flight to Milan.
Day 2 Milan
to Verona
You will arrive
in Milan in the morning. The tour will begin
with a visit to some of the citys landmarks:
the Great Gothic Cathedral of Milano and the
Castello and Scala Opera Houses. After lunch,
there will be a drive to the ancient city
of Verona, famouse for its background as the
stage for Shakespeares play Romeo
and Juliet. Other areas you will visit
include the old town, Juliets Balcony
and Juliets House.
Day 3 Verona
to Venice
After breakfast,
you will enjoy a pleasant drive to the city
of Venice. Upon arrival, you will take a private
boat ride to visit the heart of Venice, St.
Marcos Square, the St. Marco Cathedral,
the Bridge of Sigh and the ancient Murano
Blowing Glass Show. Also, dont forget
that you may take a romantic Gondola ride
on the Grand Canal (at an additional charge).
Day 4 Venice
to Pisa to Florence
There will be
a morning excursion to the city of Pisa where
you will visit the famous 1175 feet Leaning
Tower of Pisa. Then, you will have an opportunity
to visit the stone walled old town where many
shops and restaurants stand. You will then
continue the drive to Florence. In Florence,
you will visit the multi-colored marble cathedral
Duomo, Signoria Square, Santa Cross Basilica,
Michelangelos Square, and a leading
leather goods factory.
Day 5 Florence
to Siena to Rome
After breakfast,
there is a drive from Florence to the greatest
city state of Tuscany, Siena. In Siena, you
will visit the stone walled Medieval town
where you will discover the wonders of folk
hand craft. This type of craft can be dated
back to the Renaissance period. After the
tour of Siena, you will travel to the city
of Rome where you will arrive in the late
afternoon.
Day 6 Rome
There will be
a morning visit to the two thousand five hundred
year old city of Rome. In Rome, you will get
a tour of Castle Sant Angelo, Caesars
Forum and the Colosseum. Other attractions
will include the Spanish Steps and the Vatican,
St. Peters Square and the Basilica.
Day 7 Rome
to Pompeii to Sorrento
In the morning,
you will enjoy a drive from Rome to Pompeii.
Ancient Pompeii sprawls at the foot of Mount
Vesuvius, which erupted in 79 AD. Stones and
ashes buried the city where it remained undiscovered
until the 17th century. At the
city, you will learn about 2000 years of Roman
civilization. You will then leave for the
city of Sorrento where you will stay overnight
Day 8 Sorrento
to Capri to Rome
The day will begin
with a boat ride from the city of Sorrento
to the city of Capri. Capri is an island of
limestone rock that represents the outermost
tip of the Mountain Chain on the Sorrentine
Peninsula. The coastlines dolomite cliffs
fall right to the sea in many spots. It is
also dotted with countless caves and surrounded
by leeks. In Capri, you will also visit one
of the most famous caves, the Blue Grotto.
Another attraction is the Piazza Imbert, known
as the heart of Capri. In the late afternoon,
you will arrive back in Rome.
Day 9 Rome
to USA
Depart from Rome
on an overnight flight to USA.
